Friends of SCT will be at Nishikaze

4 More Days! 4 More Days!

SCT’s Erinn Watson will be leading an improv show at Nishikaze. Many of the regular troupe members are not able to attend but friends of SCT David Gabert, Brandon Eyck, and Shelby Thevenot will be taking the stage with Erinn.

David is a local improviser who founded and manages Drama Nutz. He is also a comic book and superhero nerd.

Brandon is a local improviser/actor and an active member of The Unscripted Theatre Society (TUTS) at the University of Lethbridge. This spring he won Honourable Mention for best male actor in the Chinook One Act Festival.

Shelby is also active with TUTS. She also heads up a local multi-media, multi-style performance company called Lost Girl Productions.

Nishikaze is at the University of Lethbridge on Saturday June 13th. You’ll find SCT and friends performing at 5pm – 7pm in room M1035.

HIBIKIYA is a dynamic,high energy group known for their unique choreography and exciting music. Currently supported by the Southern Alberta Taiko Society, HIBIKIYA has the cultural approval of The Japanese Consulate – General of Japan in Calgary for their dedication to the active promotion and education of Taiko, the traditional Art of Japanese drumming. HIBIKIYA is also fortunate to have the support of The Lethbridge Twinning Society.

HIBIKIYA has been entertaining audiences with authentic Japanese Taiko for many years. Music Director, Bryan Pereverseff, was instrumental in bringing the art of Taiko to Southern Alberta in 2002, through his relationship with 2 Japanese Taiko groups in Japan. Besides performing at many events and festivals, HIBIKIYA also offers workshops and instruction to the public.

Lucas Gilbertson
Lucas started working as a voice actor in 2001. With many animation voice-over credits to his name, Lucas’s most notable roles have been “Zero” in MEGAMAN X8, CM, MHX, “Antares” in SCAN 2 GO, “Sir Percival Sadlygrove” in WAKFU, “Finn” in DELTORA QUEST, “Chow” in D.I.C.E., “Hanzo” in HUNTER X HUNTER and “Morikawa” in Cardfight!! Vanguard.

When he’s not performing in animated projects, video games and numerous Indie films, Lucas is also a prolific painter, creating large colourful canvases. And he also enjoys playing music with his alt-rock band. Most recently Lucas is loving his job working in radio making silly online videos and doing voice work for Country 105, Q107 and QR77 in Calgary.
